The year 1997 witnessed the birth  of what is today a ” wonder - brand’ in the consumer industry, literally - THAYAR FOOD PRODUCTS. This company, which is a  front - runner in the manufacture of wet  flour in Chennai , south India was moulded into shape by its founder partners shri Kannan, S.Mahadevan and shri A.R. Anandakrishnan  through sheer grit, positive approach and a sense of determination. The manufacturing unit and the corporate  office are both based at West Mambalam in Chennai.

The focus is entirely  on offer pure, hygienic and quality products to its customers coupled with personalised service and timely delivery. The company first introduced  Idli / Dosai mavu and followed it by Adai, Rava idli and Rava dosai mavus. The people behind this ’almost - used - everyday ’ product include  a set of qualified and experienced staff containing a sales and marketing force. Great teamwork and co-orination has helped immensely in the brand image build - up of the products.

From the year 2000 a separate marketing division was created - THAI FOOD PRODUCTS to market Thaayar products such as wet idly flour and other various mavus.
